A One-Day Journey from CBD Belapur to Nashik – A Tight but Memorable Travel Experience

  Date: 07 March 2026 Route: CBD Belapur → Thane → Kasara → Nashik → Return to CBD Belapur Total Travel Time: Approximately 11 hours 50 minutes Traveling across Maharashtra using local trains, shared cabs, and buses can sometimes turn into an adventure. On 07 March 2026 , I had to make a quick one-day trip from CBD Belapur to Nashik and return the same day. Despite delays, tight connections, and long waits, the journey turned out to be both challenging and enjoyable. Starting the Journey from CBD Belapur My journey started early in the morning. 09:18 AM: I parked my scooty at CBD Belapur station and walked to the ticket counter. 09:23 AM: Purchased a return ticket from CBD Belapur to Kasara for ₹70 . At 09:39 AM , I boarded a train from CBD Belapur heading towards the harbour line. I reached Nerul station at 09:46 AM . At that moment, I noticed a Nerul–Thane train which was originally scheduled at 09:29 AM but was running late and had just started moving. ...

Join me as I recount my solo expedition to Shaniwar Wada in Pune, a day filled with twists and turns that made for a truly memorable adventure. Morning Hopes: With the promise of discovering the rich history of Shaniwar Wada, I set out from my home on the morning of December 18th at 10:10 AM. The plan was simple: a local bus ride to Khopoli, followed by a visit to Shaniwar Wada in Pune. Little did I know that the day would take unexpected turns. Change of Plans: As I eagerly boarded the local NMMC bus from CBD Belapur to Khopoli, I received a call from my friend. Due to unforeseen personal issues, he wouldn't be able to join me.
